Our History

Desert Hematology Oncology Medical Group was established by Philip B. Dreisbach, MD over forty-five years ago. DHO has been providing comfort and healing to countless patients and families throughout the Coachella Valley and surrounding areas ever since.

Our team of specialists has grown to five dual boarded oncology-hematology specialists, and we will be adding a sixth in late fall of 2025.

Our team also includes three nurse practitioners who work closely with all of the specialists in our practice to provide comforting and personalized continuity of care.

We will also be adding a rheumatologist in early fall of 2025.

Our Main Office

Our main office is situated at the intersection of 34490 Bob Hope Dr. and Victory Lane (Where Hope Meets Victory) in Rancho Mirage. The new facility spans over 15,000 sq. ft. and includes patient care areas such as an infusion center staffed by OCN certified infusion RNs, a CLIA-certified comprehensive lab, an on-site pharmacy offering in-office dispensing and refills of all oral medications for patient convenience, and a DEXA bone density scanner.
